Shuai Chang placed An Qiluo on the fluffy blanket and said, “Baby, I swear I won’t touch you again. Can you revert back, please?”
The little white cat meowed softly twice, its large blue eyes reflecting Shuai Chang’s figure.
Suddenly, a flash of white light appeared beside Shuai Chang, revealing a boy — it was none other than An Qiluo. However, An Qiluo’s ears were now fluffy white cat ears, and the tail on his tailbone hadn’t retracted.
An Qiluo swayed his tail, oblivious to his oddity, and said, “You promised, you can’t touch me tonight.” After saying this, he bared his tiny teeth, looking quite fierce!
Shuai Chang’s emerald eyes were clouded, as if a storm was brewing. He struggled to say in a hoarse voice, “Okay, I won’t touch you. Let’s sleep.”
Shuai Chang turned off the light, plunging the tent into darkness.
An Qiluo snuggled against the pillow, closed his eyes, and tilted his head to sleep.
Shuai Chang waited secretly for An Qiluo to fall deeply asleep before he quickly turned on the light and leaned closer to him.
The cat-eared boy was simply too adorable!
Shuai Chang felt his heart melting for him.
For a moment, he touched An Qiluo’s left ear, then his right, and then he wickedly extended his hand towards the cat tail, stroking from head to tail. An Qiluo’s tail was the most sensitive part, and as he slept, a faint blush appeared on his body, accompanied by gasps.
Shuai Chang, excited, stroked An Qiluo’s tail while pleasuring himself. An hour later, his tense body relaxed with a low growl.
Luckily, Shuai Chang felt sorry for An Qiluo and didn’t overdo it, preventing An Qiluo’s tail from becoming bald.
Shuai Chang changed his pants and stretched out his long arms to embrace An Qiluo, kissing his two cute cat ears before quickly falling into a deep sleep.
The next morning, before dawn, Shuai Chang had to get up and gather the troops at the front. He noticed that An Qiluo’s cat ears and tail had retracted. His heart was filled with both regret and relief — regret for not knowing if he would ever see that adorable side again, and relief that others could not see An Qiluo like this.
With a conflicted heart, Shuai Chang’s combat power surged, and that night the count on the monitoring electronic eyes rose to twenty-nine thousand nine hundred.
When the Goat couldn’t hold back from asking again, Shuai Chang directly told him the total number, leaving the Goat in a daze once more.
He thought that yesterday’s thirteen thousand was already Shuai Chang’s limit, but unexpectedly, the next day it reached sixteen thousand! Adonis was simply a massive killing machine!
The bloody beast tide finally passed two months later, with only around a thousand deaths among the lieutenants. There were significantly fewer soldiers compared to last year. General Kane felt that the beastmen this year had lower lethality and numbers.
The next day, everyone submitted their monitoring electronic eyes for statistics, led by the general’s wife along with the female subordinates.
The final result astonished everyone; one lieutenant’s kill count shockingly reached a terrifying four hundred sixty thousand! The general’s wife thought there must have been a malfunction with the electronic eyes, but after checking with the technicians, they confirmed that the recorded numbers were correct.
How is that possible?! Six hundred forty thousand — the total number of beastmen killed by the army each year during the beast tide is usually just over one hundred twenty thousand. Is it possible for this one lieutenant to have killed over half?
The general’s wife had no choice but to discuss this with the general. She couldn’t directly accuse Shuai Chang of cheating; even if there was a one in ten thousand chance that the number was correct, this little lieutenant could become her partner’s direct superior in the future, so they couldn’t afford to offend him.
Colonel Kane’s heart jumped when he reviewed the monitoring electronic eyes; he thought more deeply than the general’s wife, “What were Adonis’ team members’ records? How many survived?”
“I’ll check it right away.” The colonel’s wife hadn’t noticed the details.
When she retrieved the results, she was once again stunned: “This… All ten members of Lieutenant Adonis’s team survived, and each of their records is above twenty thousand!”
Next year, these team members would be eligible for promotion to lieutenants.
General Kane sighed, “It seems the data is truly accurate. How did I not notice such a powerful male beastman in my troops?” His superior came from his own command, and Kane didn’t know how to feel about it.
“Organize the data; I need to report it to Emperor Caesar.”
The highest military rank of Marshal can only be conferred by the Emperor Caesar himself.
After resting for a day, Kane ordered the troops to return.
The mighty beastman army marched into the city, and many citizens spontaneously came out to welcome them, throwing countless flowers into the long procession.
Upon returning to the army, Kane announced a week-long leave for everyone, with a promotion list to be revealed after a week.
Kane did not expect Emperor Caesar to personally come to the army; he excitedly saluted, “Your Majesty, it is our honor that you have come!”
Emperor Caesar had nine brothers before ascending to the throne. They were rivals, refusing to yield to one another; the late emperor planned to choose an heir through their competitions. Among the ten princes, only Emperor Caesar took a different path, directly joining the military to assist in resisting the beast tide, killing more than three hundred thousand beastmen in two months, achieving peak prestige among the populace. The late emperor saw no need for further selection and directly abdicated to Caesar.
Now that Caesar had come to the army, it must be for the legendary lieutenant Adonis, who had killed twice as many beastmen during the beast tide than Caesar had at the start.
To be safe, Colonel Kane included Adonis’s background in the report to Emperor Caesar, relaying details about his orphanhood, the orphanage he grew up in, and the headmaster.
Emperor Caesar looked to be only in his forties, with coarse black hair, sharp eyebrows, deep-set eyes that appeared green rather than blue, a high nose, and deeply etched lines at the corners of his lips when pressed together.
“Is Adonis’s true form a white tiger?” he asked in a deep voice.
Colonel Kane was taken aback, unsure why Emperor Caesar would ask this. “Yes, Your Majesty, Adonis’s true body is the rare white tiger.”
“Bring him to see me,” Emperor Caesar commanded, “along with his female partner.”
“Yes, Your Majesty, I will notify Lieutenant Adonis right away.”
It was only reasonable for Kane to personally notify someone whom Emperor Caesar valued so highly.
